Controversial pastor rebukes YouTube for taking down his Orlando shooting video saying gays should be put to death
While thousands were mourning for the loss of 49 victims at the Orlando shooting on Sunday, one controversial pastor from Phoenix instead posted a video online, expressing that the victims inside the gay club were "disgusting homosexuals" and that there were now "50 less pedophiles in this world" thanks to the horrendous shooting. The post was later deleted by YouTube, and now the pastor has accused the company and other similar media outlets of having an agenda for silencing other points of view.
Steven Anderson, pastor at Faithful Word Baptist Church in suburban Phoenix, uploaded an almost 4-minute video on June 13 titled "115,000+ views on my video before being CENSORED by YouTube." In it, he asked why YouTube had to silence his response to the Orlando massacre.
"If they know that they're right, and if what I'm saying is so ridiculous and stupid, then why did they feel like they have to silence it, why did they feel like they have to delete my video?" he pointed out.
He claimed that there was nothing radical about his video -- he was simply giving his thoughts on the incident "from a Biblical perspective." He asked what YouTube is so afraid of, why they want to silence the truth. He claimed that it's because "everybody deep down knows that I'm right."
"The average person feels the same way about the issue of these sodomites that I feel," he said, and that the only way for media outlets like YouTube, Facebook, and others to get their agenda across is to silence the opposition. He added, "They can't allow people like me to give the right point of view or it'll interrupt their brainwashing program."
The deleted video in question, according to Mail Online, contained comments that celebrated the death of the victims in the Orlando incident. He also reportedly quoted the Book of Leviticus to justify his stance on the attack.
"The good news is that there's 50 less pedophiles in this world, because, you know, these homosexuals are a bunch of disgusting perverts and pedophiles," Anderson was quoted as saying. '"That's who was a victim here, a bunch of just disgusting homosexuals at a gay bar, OK?"
He also reportedly said, "The Bible says that homosexuals should be put to death... these people all should have been killed anyway but they should have been killed through the proper channels as in they should have been executed by a righteous government."
