"I was in the dressing room, when we heard a man's voice," customer Lisa Sickles told CBS Dallas/Fort Worth. She said she immediately informed a manager who went to check out what happened.

"She went inside the dressing room, came right back out and called me to the side and told me... he was representing himself as a woman today," said Sickles.

"What about me? Or my feelings? (The manager) told me that if I felt uncomfortable in the dressing room with him there... I'd have to wait until he's finished."

Sickles waited until the man stepped out of the dressing room and was shocked to see him — dressed as a man.

"He was in no way dressed as a woman," reported Sickles. "He had on jeans, a t-shirt, 5 o'clock shadow, very deep voice. He was a man."

Ross is apparently one of the retail stores in the United States that allow their transgender customers and employees to use the bathroom according to their gender identity. The issue of transgender bathroom policy endorsed by no less than President Barack Obama has sparked a political and legal debate across the states.

The Department of Justice has charged the state of North Carolina for violations of the civil rights with Obama's statutory guideline that discrimination includes transgender discrimination. North Carolina fired back with a countersuit charging the federal government for an overreach.

Aside from Ross, other American retail stores that adopted the inclusive bathroom policy include Target, TJ Maxx, and Marshmallows.

Target's announcement of their bathroom policy on April 19 triggered protests at its different branches and an online boycott pledge that amassed more than a million signatures. Parents and those opposed to this transgender bathroom policy fear that the policy leaves women and daughters vulnerable to perverts who can easily gain access to the women's bathroom.

The protests and boycott have led to a staggering fall of Target's stock prices.
