Former NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow 'Loves' New ESPN Gig

Former NF quarterback is raving about his new job as an ESPN analyst for the SEC Network, saying that he loves talking about football and witnessing college games in the Southeastern Conference.

Tebow, who previously played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets, told the Associated Press that he is very excited to start hosting SEC games, the season for which begins August 14.

''I love doing this,'' Tebow told the Associated Press on Wednesday. ''I want to do this for a long time. I love talking football and I love being around it.''

The former NFL quarterback added that the only downside to his new gig is ''having to wear [a suit]" every day, adding that he would prefer to be in shorts.

Tebow, who was dropped by the New England Patriots at the start of the 2013 football season, has previously reiterated his interest in one day playing again for the NFL, although he continues to express his gratitude at having an analyst gig for the time-being.

Urban Meyer, the current coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes who coached Tebow when he played for the University of Florida, recently told NFL.com that he doesn't understand why Tebow hasn't been picked up by another NFL team, adding that he believes the former Broncos player needs a very specific NFL match to give a great performance.

"I still don't get that part of it," Meyer said, adding that "[Tebow is] the second-most efficient passer ever to play college football."

"He had really good personnel around him [at Florida] and we utilized his skill very well," Meyer said. "I think in a traditional setting, it is difficult, but there's a lot of non-traditional offenses now in the NFL."
