Indian Christian humiliated after converting Hindus into Christians

A Christian man in India was humiliated by a Hindu activist group on Friday after they found out that he converted some Hindus into Christians.

Awdhesh Savita, was reportedly tonsured and garlanded with shoes while he was paraded by alleged members of the group Bajrang Dal along the streets of Orai, in Uttar Pradesh. He was accused of converting three Hindus to Christians, and forcing them to eat beef.

Sharad Sachan, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Jhansi range said that three reports have been made against two of the Bajrang Dal members, and one for Awdhesh. However, no arrests have been made.

A police report said that about 200 men forcibly took Awdhesh from his home in Jalaun district, and then took him to district headquarters.

They then shaved his head, eyebrows and moustache, and hung shoes on him before he was paraded out in the streets.

In the report, the police arrived in the area to take Awdhesh, but the people refused to let him go. Senior police officers arrived at the scene and took him to Orai Kotwali police station.

They said that the man tricked three Hindus into thinking that they were attending a satsang in Kachwaha village of the Mirzapur.

However, they discovered that it was actually a Christian church, and so they were allegedly forced to convert to Christianity. In addition, they were reportedly forced to eat beef, and walk on the pictures and images of their Hindu gods and goddesses.

Sangam Jatav, one of the three Hindus, reportedly escaped and told the story to other Hindus in public, also on Friday.
