ISIS militants mocked president-elect Donald Trump and called him a "donkey" and a "fool" while declaring that they will take over America after the Republican destroys the country himself.

The jihadists branded Trump's victory as "an indication of the end of the American empire." One of the militants stated that the terror group wants the U.S. to be delivered at the hands of "a donkey like Trump who will destroy it," The Mirror reported.

"In the end, they are all our enemies and we will only meet them on the battlefields. It is either them or us. We ask Allah to make their destruction caused by their own plans and their death come among themselves," added the militant.

The statements from ISIS came after al-Qaeda said Trump's election will give extremists in the Middle East a common enemy, which caused concerns about a major attack in the U.S.

One tweet declared, "On 9-11 US struck with disaster at the hands of al-Qaeda. On 11-9, US struck with disaster at the hands of their own voters."

The FBI revealed last week that it was investigating a major attack planned on the day of the election in several states such as Texas, New York and Virginia.

There were no incidents on the day of the polls but some tweets emerged taunting the president-elect.

"Don't try to hide, Donald. The mujahideen are ready," one post warned.

Before election day, the terror group released a document threatening to slaughter American Muslims who planned to vote. The document criticized the Muslims who allied themselves with both the Republican and Democratic presidents in the past 16 years hoping to protect Muslim interests but ended up in disappointment.

Throughout his campaign, Trump had repeatedly vowed to be tough on the Islamic radicals. "Nobody would be tougher on ISIS than Donald Trump. Nobody," he declared.

He did not offer specific details on how he will eliminate the terror group but he stated that he is open to working with Russia in order to eradicate the jihadis.
