Christians are not fully tapping into their potential for spiritual richness, inspirational speaker and author Jefferson Bethke said in his latest video message.

In his latest "Monday Message" post on YouTube titled "Something Every Christian Needs To Hear," Jefferson Bethke says Christians are living "far below their privilege." The inspirational speaker explains that while Christians' faith allows them to receive Christ's gifts, they do not fully live out their spiritual richness.

Bethke also says the topic for the latest "Monday Message" is something that needs to be conveyed to Christians. Referencing the Bible's New Testament, he said Christians have access to the things that are true of Jesus once they put their trust in Him. The author likened the situation to his experience in having a joint bank account after he married his wife Alyssa.

"So many Christians are basically spiritually rich, and have all these checks deposited into their account," said Bethke. "But we never go and 'cash in' on the amazing things God has given us."

One gets access to a joint bank account after getting married. In the same way, Christians gain access to full spiritual richness once they are "in Jesus," Bethke explains.

Towards the end of his seven-minute clip, Bethke challenges all Christians not to let negative thoughts pollute their mind by remembering that what is true of Jesus is also true of them. The speaker says these unholy and negative thoughts stem from lack of faith in Jesus. He puts emphasis on God's generosity and said He richly pours out His grace on Christians.

At the end of his message, Jefferson Bethke presents an analogy of a man wanting to fly but cannot really do so no matter what he does. However, riding on an airplane takes man high up in the air. While he himself is not flying, he is inside something that is. In that context, what is true of the plane become true of the human who is in it, the Christian speaker concludes.
