Jennifer Garner takes kids to church, inspired by 'Miracles from Heaven'
Hollywood celebrity Jennifer Garner, who talked about being inspired by her film "Miracles from Heaven" while promoting it in February, was recently spotted taking her three kids to church.
Clutching a Bible and donning a casual look, the 44-year-old actress was spotted by DailyMail on June 5 as she took her three children with estranged husband Ben Affleck to a church in Pacific Palisades, California.
Dubbed as "Sunday Funday" for the family, her four-year-old son Samuel was seen all dressed up in a ninja costume with two plastic swords sticking out from his back. Unlike Samuel, six-year-old Seraphina and 10-year-old Violet, were dressed casually like their mother. Violet was also seen with a Bible in hand.
In a press interview after "Miracles from Heaven" movie premier in Dallas, Texas, Garner claimed that she and her kids are churchgoers.
"Is that weird in Hollywood?" she asked, as quoted by People.
In a separate interview, she shared with TODAY, "I grew up going to church every Sunday, and Ben and I took our kids home to West Virginia to be baptized in my family's church."
However, Garner claimed that it somehow changed when she moved to Los Angeles and credits "Miracles from Heaven" for inspiring her to attend church services again.
"I hadn't been participating in giving them some kind of ground under them in the way that my parents had done for me," she admitted to E News. "I just expected them to have it because I do."
The actress considers her new-found inspiration to share her faith with her kids as a "great gift of this film."
"There was something about doing this film and talking to my kids about it and realizing that they were looking for the structure of church every Sunday," she said in the Dallas press interview, as reported by People.
The family has just returned from a trip in Europe with Affleck, sparking speculations that the couple are getting back together amidst rumors that the actress is pregnant. Garner has denied the speculations but didn't comment on the pregnancy rumor.
