Jep Robertson on Near-Death Experience: 'I Thought I Was A Goner'
After leaving the hospital, Jep Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" has gone into greater detail about his near-death experience after suffering a seizure on a hunting trip nearly two weeks ago.
Robertson said in a Thursday interview with "Good Morning America" that he thought he was "a goner" after suffering a seizure while on an October 19 hunting trip with brother Willie Robertson and others. Jep was rushed to a nearby hospital and reportedly put on life support for four days following the seizure.
"I reached to get my bow and that's kind of the last I remember. I crumbled to the ground and they said that I had a seizure for five minutes," Jep recalled to "Good Morning America" of the moments leading up to his seizure. "I thought I was a goner," the A&E star added.
It reportedly took paramedics nearly two hours to reach Jep, as he was hunting in a remote part of Louisiana. "It took them about an hour and a half to two hours before the ambulance got there," Jep's wife, Jessica, recalled to E! News.
Jep was then sedated by doctors at the hospital and put on a ventilator for four days. When he awoke on the fifth day, he reportedly remembered nothing that had happened.
"The time I remember is Thursday -- waking up Thursday, looking around, asking Jess, 'What are we doing in the hospital?'" he said. "I had no idea what had happened four days before."
