Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, the newlywed stars of the "19 Kids and Counting" reality show, recently opened up about their plans to adopt.

The young couple, who got married in Arkansas last year, recently told People magazine that even if they are blessed with biological kids, they still desire to adopt children.

"We hope to adopt a lot of kids," 22-year-old Jessa told People magazine. "If God blesses us with biological kids of our own, it's not going to quench our desire to adopt."

Ben, 19, added to the media outlet: "Kids are so important."

Jessa and Ben have long been expressive about their relationship. Following the couple's wedding in Arkansas in November, Jessa took to Instagam to celebrate her "monthversary" with her newlywed husband.

"Today we're celebrating our 1 'monthiversary!' @ben_seewald, you're amazing! I'm so blessed to call you mine!" Jessa posted on Instagram in December to celebrate her wedding "monthversary."

Jessa's sister, Jill Duggar, and her husband Derick Dillard are expecting the birth of their firstborn child, due next month. The couple announced their pregnancy to the public several months ago, and the "19 Kids and Counting" episode where they share the news with the family recently aired on TLC.

Derick and Jill also recently posted photos of their baby shower on Instagram, showing themselves surrounded by family, friends and festive blue, white and yellow decorations.

"Thank you to my awesome team at work for putting on an unforgettable baby shower for Jill and me! #babydilly #19kids #firstbabyshowerexperience," Dillard wrote on Instagram last week.
