Jill Duggar Talks Pregnancy Cravings, Filming Birth of Son
Jill Duggar of the TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" has revealed her most recent pregnancy cravings, saying she has been wanting to eat sour and cold foods.
Duggar, who now goes by the last name Dillard due to her husband, Derrick Dillard, told People in a recent interview over the weekend that she has been following in her mother's footsteps with pregnancy cravings. Jill apparently craves many of the sour foods her mother did, such as pickles and string beans with vinegar and salt.
"I seem to be following my mom in that. Like the dill pickle thing. In my first trimester it was everything cold […] because I had nausea. And then I just wanted everything salty, sour, cold," Jill told the media outlet.
The couple went on to say that they are "open to as many children as God will give us," adding that they may even consider adopting, as Derrick's mother is adopted. The couple's son will reportedly be the third blood relative known by Derrick's mother, Cathy.
Jill and Derrick added to People that they are still considering showing the birth of their son on the "19 Kids and Counting" reality show. "We're still talking about that," the reality show star said.
The young couple has had a whirlwind of a year, with their marriage and the announcement of their pregnancy all happening since last June.
As Fox News reports, Jill and Derrick respect the traditional rules of courtship to keep in line with their evangelical faith. The couple reportedly married in Arkansas because it is one of three states in the U.S. that offers a covenant marriage certificate that requires them to seek counseling before getting divorced and to partake in separation before pursuing a divorce.
"I signed their covenant marriage certificate," Derick's mom Cathy Dillard recently told People magazine. "It was so special. But it wouldn't matter if they chose that type of marriage certificate or not, those two would still have a covenant marriage."
