Josh Duggar and wife Anna Duggar announced over the weekend the birth of their fourth child, a girl named Meredith Grace.

27-year-old Duggar took to Twitter to announce the arrival, writing: "Announcing the arrival of Meredith Grace Duggar! 7lbs 14 ozs, 20-1/2in -- Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!"

Josh added another photo showing a close-up of his newborn daughter's face.

Josh's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, also released a video welcoming the birth of their grandchild, with Michelle explaining to the camera that she believes this is Anna's best labor yet.

"This was probably [Anna's] best labor yet. We are just rejoicing with Josh and Anna. Sweet little Meredith Grace is just beautiful and I know that Mackynzie, Michael and Marcus are just loving having their little sister here," Michelle Duggar said in the video.

Josh has recently been the subject of media headlines after it was revealed that he had inappropriately touched his sisters and a family friend when he was in his teen years, over 10 years ago.

After the news of the scandal broke, Jim Bob told Fox News' Megyn Kelly in an interview that despite teaching their children right from wrong, sometimes their children make poor decisions.

"[...] as parents you feel like a failure when one of your kids does something wrong. If I had done more training this wouldn't have happened. The truth is, kids will make their own choices, even though you have taught them right or wrong," Jim Bob said in the interview.

Following news of the scandal, the TLC network announced last week that it will be officially canceling the reality show "19 Kids and Counting" starring the Duggar family.
