Limbless evangelist Nick Vujicic reveals that his father has passed away and gone to heaven

Evangelist Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms and legs, has revealed that his father, Boris Vujicic, has passed away and gone "to Heaven."

"To all who have been graciously holding Dad and our family before the Lord Jesus in prayer, thank you all from our family's hearts for your love, prayers and support," the famous evangelist wrote on Facebook on Sunday.

"Boris Vujicic went to Heaven to be with our Almighty God today. We love you all," he concluded.

Nick, who is famous around the world for his motivational speeches and books that tell people to rely on God, had interviewed his father for his book "Raising the Perfectly Imperfect Child: Facing the Challenges with Strength, Courage, and Hope."

At that time, Boris admitted that he thought his son would not be able to get married and have children.

He said in the interview that he felt so proud that Nick became an "internationally influential person" and that God has used his disability as a "powerful force to motivate not only those with disabilities, but also the world all over."

Boris recounted that Nick's marriage to his wife Kanae in 2012 was a "very emotional time" for the family and added that the "crowning of it all was when Kiyoshi was born," referring to the couple's first child, who was born in February 2013. Nick and Kanae welcomed their second child Dejan in September 2015.

The father said that he wrote his book to encourage people who might be encountering difficulties in life and to share with them that the pain is only temporary.

Nick had reportedly contemplated suicide when he was just eight years old because of his physical limitations. He eventually learned to accept his disability and started his own non-profit organization Life Without Limbs at the age of seventeen.

He also started initiatives such as Attitude is Attitude, focusing on transforming people's lives with the message that "every person has value, that everyone is worthy of being treated with respect, dignity and love."

The Australian-born evangelist had also ministered to people in prisons across the U.S., telling them that "there is hope beyond what you see."

Nick has traveled to over 57 countries and shared his life story to more than 400 million people. His books have sold over a million copies all over the world and have been translated into more than 30 different languages.
