'Nashville' season 5 episode 3 spoilers: Juliette finds renewed faith as Rayna deals with obsessed fan

Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) finds religion and new purpose in the next episode of \"Nashville.\" | YouTube/CMT

Conflicts were eventually resolved just as new potential problems arose when "Nashville" kicks season 5 off in its new home on CMT with a two-hour premiere.

The back-to-back episodes answered the questions left over from the previous season, while also setting up the stage for a potentially bumpy season 5 run. Relationship problems were addressed, tested, and were consequently fixed, but this may well be just the proverbial calm before the storm, especially for Rayna (Connie Britton) and her husband, when a mysterious stalker was revealed by the end of the premiere. Who could this man be, and how will his persistence affect Rayna and Deacon's (Charles Esten) relationship in the long run?

The next episode of "Nashville" may just shed some light on the identity of Rayna's seemingly obsessed stalker. Titled "Let's Put It Back Together Again," the episode will also feature Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) struggling with survivor's guilt, and quite possibly finding some enlightenment from God, as teased in the episode promo. Will she finally be able to move forward on a more positive note, and try to find purpose in her new situation? Perhaps, an inspirational album could be in the works soon, or will she ultimately decide to spend more time with her husband Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and their daughter?

Meanwhile, the YouTube star that Deacon wanted to do a record with in the premiere turns out to be a demanding diva. How will this affect her career in the future? Will someone, perhaps Deacon himself, care enough to set her straight before she gets the boot?

In other news, actress Britton recently appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" to assure fans that she's in for the entire fifth season. She also expressed awe in the fans' reactions after ABC pulled the plug on their show.

"I have seen in so many ways in my life the power that a unified voice can have," she said. She went on to describe the current season as "exciting" and tease that new showrunners Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick have come up with storylines that would bring "Nashville" back to its roots.

The next episode of Nashville will air on Thursday, Jan. 12, at 9 p.m. EST on CMT.
