'NCIS' season 14 spoilers, premiere: Two more regulars added

The "NCIS" season 14 family just got a little bigger with a couple more agents added to the fold to help fill the void left by Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly).

"Blue Bloods" alum Jennifer Esposito is officially the latest "NCIS" season 14 cast member. She will play a series regular character who fans will come to know as Special Agent Alexandra "Alex" Quinn.

She joins the team in "NCIS" season 14, thanks to the convincing power of Gibbs (Mark Harmon), who encouraged her to be back on the field after spending her time at the Law Enforcement Training Center s an instructor.

Of course, Gibbs is not one to make a mistake when it comes to bringing in members of his team. Alex possesses "sharp wit, quick mind and immense talent as a federal agent."

"We couldn't be happier to have Jennifer Esposito joining us for season 14," executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement picked up by TVLine.

"She embodies everything that we hoped for in the character of Quinn and we can't wait to have her come be a part of our team," he continued.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed that actress Sarah Clarke won't be back in "NCIS" season 14 to reprise her role as FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe, who was introduced in the season 13 finale.

Clarke was given the option to return as series regular for "NCIS" season 14 along with Duane Henry, who accepted the gig. However, the actress won't be in the new season at all.

With regards to Henry, fans will see more of the actor as MI-6 Officer Clayton Reeves in "NCIS" season 14. He made quite an impression last season with his action chops so fans should be happy about this casting.

To top it all off, "That 70s Show" Wilmer Valderrama will also be series regular (character still unnamed) in "NCIS" season 14, making for an exciting roster.

"NCIS" season 14 premieres Thursday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
