Nvidia's GTX 1060 specs, price news: Will be a cheaper alternative for the economic gamer

Nvidia is currently dominating the graphics processor market with the excellent reviews coming out about the GTX 1080. The 1080 variant is said to be the best available option for that sweet 4K gaming resolution, but it could come a bit pricey; luckily, for the more economic gamers, the GTX 1060 is said to be a cheaper alternative, and though it doesn't have the same quality that the 1080 variant boasts, it does the best with what it has.
According to PC Advisor, the 1060 option comes with 3GB version as many people online predicted. The processor is also said to be smaller, so it will be able to fit into small cases, making it convenient for any user.
The 6GB variant would have 1280 CUDA Cores and use 4.4b transistors. Meanwhile, the GTX 1060 3GB variant would have 1152 CUDA cores, but the transistors that were used in it aren't mentioned
The two variants have multiple similarities, though. The core clock used in both models have a rate of 1506 MHz while the boost clock is at 1708 MHz. The memory clock used in both models runs at 8 Gbps. The two would have a 192-bit memory bus width and a memory bandwidth rate of 192 GB/s. The variants also have a 120W TDP. They both have TSMC 16nm FinFet used for the manufacturing process, and they both use a 1x 6-pin PCIe for power connectivity.
Nvidia has also launched the GTX series' 1060, 1070, and 1080 in laptops, so for gamers who don't want the space-eating PC desktop, laptops are now an option.
As of now, the GTX 1060 6GB is priced at £239.99 and the 3GB version is at £189.99. The processor can be bought at various retails shops as well as Nvidia's website. Prices for the US are $249 for the 6GB and $200 for the 3GB.
Nvidia has also confirmed that AMD's RX series is its direct competitor when it comes to graphics processors, that's why there has been competitive pricing between the two. Based on reviews, Nvidia is winning the graphics game, so AMD better step up and present something worthy of competition to Nvidia's GTX 1080. Nvidia has also announced a new Titan X for 2016, so AMD better scramble and come up with something that can compete.
