Perry Noble's new book on dating put on hold by Tyndale House Publishers

Tyndale House Publishers announced Wednesday its decision to place on hold the latest book by former NewSpring Senior Pastor Perry Noble.

The Christian publishing company decided to move Noble's book "11 1/2 Questions To Help You Date Without Regret" from its scheduled release of Sept. 27 to an "unscheduled status."

"We plan to review this status at a future date and then evaluate the viability of releasing this book at another time," the company's spokeswoman Margie Watterson told Independent Mail via email.

The publicist added that the company still keeps available for purchase Noble's other books "Overwhelmed," Unleash!" and "The Most Excellent Way to Lead."

"We live in a culture that doesn't see dating as a big deal. Dating is just what you do on the weekend so you don't have to binge-watch shows on Netflix. Popular speaker and pastor Perry Noble knows better," read the book description on Tyndale's website.

The company's website still announced Noble's dating book on a "coming soon" status while Amazon still kept the book open for pre-orders Wednesday night.

Noble released a podcast titled "8 Reasons Why You Can't Get a Date or Get Married" on June 26 where he helped single Christians determine the underlying causes for their romantic problems and urged them to "run hard after Jesus."

"God said there is a certain order in the processes," said 45-year-old Noble. "We've got to make sure our life is in order."

The influential Christian speaker and senior pastor got a huge wake-up call to keep his life in order after the megachurch he founded decided to fire him effective July 1 over his alcohol dependence and strained marriage. The news sent an emotional jolt to the NewSpring community, but Noble himself said he fully supported his termination.

He also said he wants to continue "fighting for his wife and daughter and following Jesus" as he announced his decision to check himself into rehab.
