'Steep' DLC latest new: Ubisoft announces upcoming 'Alaska' DLC update

Ubisoft recently announced that a new DLC update, called "Alaska," is set to arrive in its open-world sports game "Steep."
In preparation for its launch in December 2016, "Steep" caught the attention of the gaming community with the strategically-timed release of the game's Season Pass and three DLC packs just a few hours before the title was made available for purchase.
Now, Ubisoft has upped the ante for "Steep" with the recent roll out of the 1.04 update and the announcement of the release date of its "Alaska" DLC.
As reported by GameRant, the game publisher revealed that the new DLC is centered around the powdery Alaskan mountain range. Additional details have yet to be provided regarding the types of ski/boarding runs as well as the challenges which will be featured in the game.
However, it was stated that the upcoming DLC will be completely free to download. Ubisoft also shared a glance at the DLC's map, which details the point of interest in the new DLC and the available playstyles.
Equally exciting is the recent arrival of the game's 1.04 update, which offered a huge range of new features and improvements to the game's core experience.
The 1.04 patch of "Steep" included new features such as a live page that keeps players updated on the rankings and scores in the "Steep" World Tour, community challenges created by and made exclusively for in-game players, additional customization items, and a new dashboard which streamlines important game and content data.
The G-force system also got a major revamp, with significant improvements that made jumps and tricks "more fair and more clear." There is also an option to toggle and hide the Heads Up Display and a new Director Mode.
"Steep" has been available for the PlayStation, Xbox One, and PC since Dec. 2, 2016. It was also previously announced that the game would be made available for the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2017.
The upcoming "Alaska" DLC will be launched on Feb. 10.
