'Suits' season 6 release date, spoilers update: New season picks up right where season 5 left off; Rachel Zane pregnant?
After the shocking finale of "Suits" season 5, which saw what appeared to have been the downfall of Pearson Specter Litt, fans were left wondering how the firm could possibly regain its lost glory. Or, having lost its clients' trust and its hard-earned reputation, will Pearson Specter Litt soon be bidding fans a final farewell?

In the season 5 finale titled "25th Hour," Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) sacrificed his freedom so that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Jessica (Gina Torres) would be spared from having to go to prison. In a surprising twist, the faux lawyer pleaded guilty to charges of fraud and accepted a two-year prison deal.
While not much has been said about the legal drama's upcoming sixth season, "Suits" creator and showrunner Aaron Korsh has confirmed that the new season will pick up right where the last one left off.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Korsh said that when the show returns, viewers will find Mike right where they last saw him — in prison.
"We're coming back right where we left off," the "Suits" boss said, emphasizing that there will be no time jump between seasons 5 and 6.
"We're coming back to the very night that we ended the episode on," he explained. As Korsh told THR, the season 6 debut episode will show viewers Mike's first night in jail and his friends' first night back at Pearson Specter Litt, which will be empty.
While the USA Network drama has already been renewed for a sixth season, fans have been speculating that the series could be nearing its end.
Korsh addressed the issue in an interview with TVLine. He said, "I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I'm assuming we're likely to have a season 7, and it's certainly possible we'll have a season 8."
Meanwhile, fans are currently speculating that Rachel (Meghan Markle) could be pregnant when the new season premieres. According to Christian Daily, the rumors are based on Mike and Rachel's intimate scene during the season 5 finale.
Being pregnant while her father's child is in prison could leave Rachel vulnerable, a perfect situation to introduce a third party into the mix. According to Movie News Guide, Professor Dunbar (guest actor Malcolm Gets), Rachel's Columbia Law ethics instructor, could become her new lover, complicating her relationship with Mike.
"Suits" will returns for season 6 on Wednesday, July 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
