'Suits' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Sneak peek of Mike in jail released; new character joining
Just a few more weeks left until the return of the legal drama television series "Suits" for its sixth season. Fans are excited already to catch on with new episodes especially now that a teaser on Mike's (Patrick J. Adams) jail time has been released.
The teaser showed Mike calmly sitting down while a prison guard shaves the hair of his head. Voices of the other characters are then heard in the background convincing him not to push through with the prison sentence. It can be remembered in season 5 finale that the court's verdict was not guilty. But despite that, Mike still signed a plea deal for two years in prison just to protect his firm Pearson Specter Litt.
It won't take long to find out what will happen to Mike as TVLine confirmed that "Suits" season 6 will pick up following the events from season 5 finale. This means that the premiered episode could show Mike's first night in jail and the rest of the gang returning to an empty firm.
The teaser also showed Mike trading in his crisp suit for prison clothes and walking past by a bunch of inmates as he is being led to his cell. It's apparent that big changes are about to unfold in the series and fans are all wondering what will happen to the other characters, including Harvey (Gabriel Macht), Rachel (Meghan Markle) and Jessica (Gina Torres).
Meanwhile, a new face will be joining the series as a guest star. As detailed in TVGuide, "Popular" alum Carly Pope will be playing a role in "Suits" season 6. She will portray a character named Tara Messer who is described as a commercial architect that Louis (Rick Hoffman) brought in to help him out deal with new character Stu Buzzini (Ian Reed Kesler).
"Suits" season 6 will air its first episode on July 13 at 9 p.m. ET on USA.
