Televangelist Benny Hinn Admitted to Hospital for Heart Troubles, Expected to Make Full Recovery
Relatives of televangelist Benny Hinn recently announced that the well-known prosperity preacher suffered heart issues after returning from a recent ministry trip to Brazil, and Hinn's family members are now asking for prayers for the televangelist's quick recovery.
Hinn's daughter, Jessica Hinn Koulianos, announced her father's recent health troubles in a message posted to the Benny Hinn Ministries website earlier this week.
Koulianos wrote that the evangelist began suffering shortness of breath after returning from a recent ministry event in Brazil that included crowds of over 100,000 people.
"Recently [Hinn] returned to California after ministering to crowds of over 100,000 people in Brazil, including over 2,000 pastors and leaders from all over South America. It was truly a remarkable nation-shaking event. And while it was a rewarding journey, after he arrived home he suddenly began battling fatigue and shortness of breath," Koulianos wrote on Monday.
"For those of you who know my Dad, you know that he never stops; so when he spent over a week in bed, we knew something was wrong. I flew to California to be with him and insisted that he see a doctor. On Friday, he consulted with his local physician and was admitted to the hospital, where he was treated for lack of oxygen in his cardiovascular system," Hinn's daughter continued.
According to Charisma News, after spending the weekend at a California hospital, Hinn is expected to make a full recovery. The Hinn family has taken to their father's ministry website to thank followers for their outpouring of support and prayers.
"By God's grace and with the help of your prayers, we are told to expect a complete recovery. More importantly, his doctors are assuring him that within a very short time he will be on his feet ministering around the world again, just as he has for over 40 years," Koulianos wrote.
