Tim Tebow Calls Play During Peach Bowl
Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is reportedly making waves as an ESPN analyst for the SEC Network.
While serving as a game analyst this Wednesday during the Peach Bowl, Tebow quickly showed that his football knowledge was still up to par despite being off the field for one season.
Tebow and fellow analyst Joe Tessitore were narrating the Texas Christian University vs. Mississippi State game Wednesday when the former NFL player was able to call a play shortly before it began happening.
Tebow determined that TCU was pulling a trick play on Ole Miss when quarterback Trevone Boykin passed the ball to wide receiver Kolby Listenbee.
"Double pass," Tebow can be heard saying as the pass is made. Before Listenbee throws the ball to Aaron Green in the end zone, Tebow can be heard saying "touchdown."
The ball is then successfully caught by Green, and TCU ultimately wins the game 42 to 3 against Ole Miss.
Tebow has been working for the ESPN network since the beginning of the 2014 season, often working as a pre-game analyst at multiple SEC games.
Back in November, Tebow's popularity was evident when the former Florida Gators quarterback hosted a pre-game event ahead of the Tennessee Volunteers game in Knoxville, reportedly handing out cake to Volunteers fans.
Footage from the event shows one female fan crying and swooning as Tebow hands her a piece of cake. The eager fan had been holding a sign that read: "We're only here for Tebow."
