Tyson Fury should be barred from boxing for controversial comments, says anti-semitism group

British professional heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has sparked controversy after his latest remarks, deemed by many as offensive, and a group is calling for him to be barred from the sport.

"There should be no place for anti-Semitism in sport," Campaign Against Antisemitism spokesman Jonathan Sacerdoti said. "He should be barred from boxing and referred to the British Boxing Board of Control."

Sacerdoti further said that this is not Fury's first offense, and "he specialises in outrageous offensive and racist slurs." Sponsors ought to withdraw because of such behavior, he said. Moreover, Britain neither supports nor tolerates racism.

"These specific anti-Semitic slurs are centuries old, and his use of them today in 2016 shows ignorance and malice," he said.

Fury has ired people when a video was posted on YouTube showing him making anti-Semitic remarks.

"The world has gone mad, there is no morals, there is no loyalty, there is no nothing," he said in the video. "Everyone just do what you can, listen to the government follow everybody like sheep, be brainwashed by all the Zionist, Jewish people who own all the banks, all the papers, all the TV stations."

He also made comments that came across as homophobic and sexist. He said that he supposes that he likes being a draconian if that means not liking "women to be whores" and "we don't shag men, we don't shag kids." His rant also included issues on rape, pedophilia, and bestiality.

He has been quoted as saying over on Twitter, "I see all the Zionist media outlets are on my back, because I speak the truth! u will all see the truth soon enuf, they killed my lord jesus."

Moroever, he reportedly called retired professional boxer Barry McGuigan "a traitor" to his home country.

"Tyson is appalling and comes out with some appalling stuff," said McGuigan, as quoted by the BBC. "He was unnecessarily abusive towards me and my past and he can't behave like that - grow up Tyson and catch a grip of yourself."
