'19 Kids and Counting' Jill Duggar Pregnant News: Will Give Birth at Home, Writes Bible Verses With Husband
Jill Duggar and partner Derick Dillard plan to deliver their baby at home.
"I think home birth is really special because you are in your own environment," Duggar told People. "You don't have to pick up, move and have that stall labor. I am looking forward to having the calm, intimate setting of being home."
Duggar has revealed that she will give birth at their first house as a married couple. She is going to be accompanied by a mid-wife during the labor.
However, the couple has not revealed the gender of the baby yet.
Meanwhile, as they wait for the arrival of their little one, the couple is taking the time to connect to their faith by writing Bible verses. It is reported that the couple wrote these passages down to encourage Duggar during her pregnancy. The passages include Isaiah 26:3 and Deuteronomy 4:9.
The soon-to-be parents, said they shared the news of the pregnancy even before the first trimester ended. They believe that this will harbor inspiration to the audience of their value for life.
"Well, ultimately, we want to be an example for them. For a daughter, I want to show her how a man should treat her, just like Jill's dad did for her," Derick said.
"And just be the best dad I can be to both my sons and daughters and really purpose to teach them the Word of God early on and pray that they will come to the Lord early in life. And helping them be open, not afraid to come to us about anything," he added.
Duggar is now about 16 weeks in her pregnancy.
