'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 4 air date, news and updates: Synopsis for winter finale leaked

Reception of ABC's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has been different ever since the fourth season decided to introduce Robbie Reyes aka Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) to the show. Two new promos have been released for the upcoming episode "Deals with Our Devils." What's more, there is an official synopsis that has been revealed for the winter finale, "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics."

The first clip for the next episode seems to focus on the Darkhold book and its potential to "unleash darkness." What's interesting about this is that it has a short shot of Mack (Henry Simmons) speeding off in a chopper, all while wearing a suit similar to that of Johnny Blaze's Ghost Rider. Could Mack secretly be the "Good Samaritan" who granted Robbie Reyes his powers?

The other clip is a minute-long sneak peek for the episode, and it features the cocooned Inhuman that is actually Sen. Rota Nadeer's (Parminder Nagra) brother. Agents have put the shell on quarantine, and it was revealed that it has been gestating for seven months. The Agents are also extremely concerned about what might come out of the cocoon eventually.

As for the synopsis of the winter finale, "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics," the official description goes: "S.H.I.E.L.D. and Ghost Rider find themselves unlikely allies when the lives of all of Los Angeles hang in the balance."

This is interesting considering that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been after the Ghost Rider for most of season four, but it looks like they will have to team up in order to fight a bigger threat that has come out. Could it be the senator's brother is finally getting out of the cocoon?

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" next episode, "Deals with Our Devils," airs on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 10 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, the winter finale "The Laws of Inferno Dynamics" airs on Dec. 6 at the same time on ABC.
