'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 4 episode 5 spoilers: Ghost Rider to become deadlier
As ABC's Marvel-based superhero series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." advances through its fourth season, more and more layers of the mystery behind Robbie Reyes aka Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna) are being shed and how he may be more of a danger to himself than he is to others.
The next episode titled "Lockup" will show Robbie's continuing struggle to gain control of the immense power he has courtesy of the Spirit of Vengeance. Now that his origin story is about to be revealed soon, he just might become an even more dangerous problem for Agent Phil Coulson's team.
According to the official episode synopsis, next week's episode will also feature S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attempt to infiltrate a high-security prison in order to find the answers to the mysteries that are haunting all of them regarding the evil book known as the Darkhold.
The preview for the episode shows that Coulson and his team will be having a tough time subduing the inmates of the prison, and one agent's life may also be put at risk.
Gizmodo has recently posted an article on how this menacing book could potentially connect "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" narrative with that of Doctor Strange's. In the Marvel comics universe, the book passed on to several hands before it reached Doctor Strange's possession, who has called on its dark powers for years.
Will the future episodes of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." continue moving down the "Doctor Strange" territory now that the movie is coming to theaters very soon? And if it does, how will the series tie in with the movie's narrative?
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 episode 5 airs on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC. Episode 6 titled, "The Good Samaritan" and airing on Nov. 1 will finally feature the origins of Ghost Rider, according to a synopsis posted on IMDB.
