'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' season 4 spoilers: LMD infiltrates the S.H.I.E.L.D.
The Life Model Decoy (LMD) arc will be explored further in the second half of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" season 4.
The midseason premiere will be called "Broken Promises," and it will center on Agent Melinda May's (Ming-Na Wen) dark secret that will affect the rest of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.
According to the synopsis posted by Den of Geek, "Though Coulson (Clark Gregg) and May are growing closer, Coulson remains unaware of the dark secret May is hiding beneath the surface. Meanwhile, Aida (Mallory Jansen) is unrelenting in her search for the Darkhold."
The trailer for the upcoming episode showed that Agent May will be on a furious rampage against her colleagues at the S.H.I.E.L.D. But this will be a different Agent May, since the person who will interact with the rest of the agents will be the LMD (Life Model Decoy) version of the agent under the direction of Aida.
But May will not be the only one inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. team who will be in question in the upcoming episodes of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4.
According to reports, Coulson's growing suspicion regarding the real intention of the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) will be addressed in the second half of the fourth season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
In an interview with iDigital Times during the previous New York Comic Con, Gregg revealed that the relationship between the past and present S.H.I.E.L.D. directors are not exactly smooth and they are not in good terms.
"'The team that trusts is the team that triumphs,' the director says. So far I don't think [Mace] feels a lot of trust between he and Coulson," the actor stated. "I think that's only going to get worse. He's finding it difficult to follow orders from someone who doesn't know nearly as much about S.H.I.E.L.D. as he does."
The midseason premiere of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 will air on ABC on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
