The battle of computer graphics card is getting intense as GPU manufacturers are releasing one hardware unit after another. Following the release of AMD RX 470, the company is said to be planning on releasing the new AMD Radeon RX 460. This new model is considered as a budget card for people who do not want to spend much but would like to get a GPU unit with decent functionality.
The price is ridiculously lower compared to the other units in its class at $109 MSRP. The AMD Radeon RX 460 has all the capabilities to provide better gaming experience for consumers who have prebuilt PC.
What's interesting about this new graphics card is it has a wide array of versions from different computer manufacturers such as Gigabyte, Asus, PowerColor, MSI, XFX and Sapphire. Basically, there are customized cards available depending on your preference.
According to reports, the AMD Radeon RX 460 is designed to hit 90 frames per second with maximum settings for popular video games such as Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. There are also reports suggesting that the new graphics card is good for video streaming as it can support 1080p at 120 frames per second. Apparently, the new AMD Radeon RX 460 does not only have gaming capabilities, it can also be used for home theater PC or video streaming purposes.
The AMD Radeon RX 460 uses the Polaris 11 architecture with 1090 MHz with Base Clock and 1200 MHz Boost Clock. It has a 128-bit GDDR5 memory interface and 112 GB/s memory bandwidth. It certainly has the right amount of power at a ridiculously low price. It wouldn't be surprising if this GPU will do well in the market.
Meanwhile, all version of the AMD Radeon RX 460 will be available from $110 to $150.
