AMD Vega 10, 11 release date, news, specs update: AMD's latest Dual GPUs to rival NVIDIA's Pascal video cards
AMD is reported to step up its game for the best video card in the market as their next lineup of GPUs may make an appearance next year. The company behind the Polaris video cards is said to release a much more powerful GPU in the form of Vega 10 and 11. These upcoming video cards are expected to match the latest GPUs based on Pascal architecture by NVIDIA, namely the GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070.
As reported, it is possible that the first ever Dual Vega 10 video card will be released by AMD in the early months of 2017. For the past several months, AMD has only targeted the middle-class market with the reasonably priced Polaris GPUs. The features of the Polaris video cards may be enough to provide a quality visual experience especially for the gamers, but there are some who may be willing to give more money for the best possible gaming experience. With this, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 have been the top picks of the gamers in the high-tier market.
By 2017, that will change with the anticipated arrival of the Vega 10 in the first part of 2017. According to WCCF Tech, the Vega 10 is the perfect choice for the computer to fully support 4K resolution in video gaming. Moreover, if the latest GTX 1080 and 1070 has the GDDR5X, the Vega 10 has the HBM which is said to be faster and more efficient than the former.
Aside from the Vega 10, AMD is also expected to release the Vega 11 in the later part of 2017. Not much has been known regarding the features of the other Vega GPU, but it is possible that the Vega 11 will be less powerful than Vega 10 in spite of the former's higher assigned number. To recall, the Polaris 11 is known to be less fast than Polaris 10 and the same thing might also be applied to the upcoming Vega video cards.
