Android 5.0 Lollipop Update for Samsung Galaxy S5, Note 4 and LG G3
After Android KitKat, Android 5.0 Lollipop has been one of the most talked about updates in the mobile operating system industry, and users of the most popular devices have been desperate to get their hands on the update.
With the update being regarded a big deal to Android users, pretty much everything that's related to it becomes a concern for many. Fans are wondering when Lollipop will be introduced in handsets that currently have KitKat on them. It's difficult to talk for all smartphones, but we have the latest rumor about Samsung and LG—or at least some of them.
It turns out that Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3 are getting an Android 5.0 Lollipop update. This data was revealed by SFR, a French telecommunications company. According to them, Galaxy S5 is to receive an update this December.
The update for the Galaxy Note 4 will be rolling out in January. For the LG G3, on the other hand, it is expected to roll in the coming days as it is marked with "coming soon."
The Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy S5 is now out in Europe, particularly in Poland. It is believed that the next ones to get an update are those from the neighboring countries. Galaxy S5 users in the U.S. may have to wait until 2015 for the rolling out of the update.
Android Lollipop currently flavors some of the best smartphones and tablets in the industry such as the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition, HTC One M& Google Play Edition, Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Moto X, Moto G and Moto E.
Meanwhile, after releasing the latest version of the Android OS in Poland exclusively for Samsung Galaxy S5 users, it is now already available in South Korea, to no surprise, as this country is Samsung's home country.
According to Samsung, those S5 models under SK Telecom, LG Uplus and KT will be the ones to receive the update.
Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5 LTE-A, Note 3 and S4 will be "Lollipopped" early next year. Other models will be updated on a later date. New smartphones and tablets such as the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Tab S will also be receiving the update next year.
Samsung spokesperson said in the interview that they have "thoroughly reviewed the stability of the operating system" for customers to get the best experience on their gadgets. It looks like this promise is being met, as not much complaints about the Android Lollipop have been gaining attention.
The following are the Android 5.0 enhancements for the Samsung Galaxy S5 (model number: SM-G900K)

As for the rolling out of the update in the U.S., Samsung is doing its best to bring it sooner to the country. However, it all depends on how easily Samsung will be able to carry it out with wireless carriers.
Galaxy S5 users in the United Kingdom, Europe and India should expect the update to be rolled out very soon.
