It may have taken quite a while but Android 7.0 Nougat is already starting to roll out to more phones alongside the Android 7.1.1 that has come to some other devices.

LG G5 is the latest smartphone model to receive Google's software update together with other Motorola phones including Moto Z and Moto Z Force, plus the more affordable units of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus devices. Meanwhile, the X-Series, which includes Moto X Style, Moto X Play and Moto X Force, is also expected to be getting it soon.

Even Sony has had a couple of its phones nabbing the Nougat update. Sony Xperia X and Xperia X Compact reportedly also got the latest operating system (OS) in select territories including Australia, Latin America, the Middle East, Russia, Turkey, Thailand and Vietnam. Those, however, that are in the United States and United Kingdom should be patient a bit more as the launch in the two countries is just about to start. Other devices from the company are also said to be lined up for the update. Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia XA and Xperia XA Ultra round up the list; however, no specific date has been confirmed as of yet.

Last but not the least, some OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users are also landing the update which could be an indication that the rollout will soon hit everyone using the aforementioned model of the brand. It can be remembered that a couple of months ago, a beta version already arrived to the brand, but now, the fully operational version of the software is already available to be downloaded.

Meanwhile, for phones that have already gotten the software upgrade earlier and easier than most, a brand-new update is now being rolled out. Nexus 6, which is among those who were able to jump into Nougat early on, is already getting a brand-new update — the Android 7.1.1.

The Android 7.0 Nougat is Google's latest operating system that packs in some nifty features including multiwindow support for launching two apps as well as enhancements to improved battery life.
