Android 7.0 Nougat update: HTC 10 to receive Nougat update this week; HTC One M9, HTC One A9 to follow

HTC 10 may have received Android Nougat 7.0 update this month or early December, but is this true? | HTC

HTC users are getting a Thanksgiving Day treat that they deserve. Android 7.0 Nougat will finally become available for HTC 10 and it will start rolling out this Friday.

It was back in August when HTC confirmed that its flagship device, HTC 10, will be the first handset to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat. The company also announced that the anticipated operating system will become available in the fourth quarter of this year, but did not give any specific date as to when it will come out.

Users of HTC have waited long and hard, trusting that HTC will fulfill what it had promised. It turns out that the company is dedicated to maintaining the trust of their customers when it announced that HTC 10 will be receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update this Friday, according to NDTV.

HTC Vice Preside of Product Management, Mo Versi said, "Happy Thanksgiving! HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning! Enjoy!" The company boss did not disclose any detail if it plans to release Android 7.0 Nougat for a specific region, so it is assumed that all HTC users around the globe will get their own update.

Other HTC devices, HTC One M9 and HTC One A9 are the next devices to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. However, the company was not able to keep its word when it had noted back in March that the unlocked version of HTC One A9 will receive the update "within 15 days."

It seems that HTC may or may not keep its promise with the HTC 10, but since it has already announced that the Android 7.0 Nougat will come this week, it is highly possible that the company will fulfill its promise after all.

The Android 7.0 Nougat recently had security updates along with its release, but it was only applied until Nov. 1, according to XDA Developers. This has caused dismay among the dev community as the most important patches originated from the Nov. 5 updates.

Christian Times will immediately report once HTC has gotten an Android 7.0 Nougat update so stay tuned for more details.
