Android 7.0 Nougat update release date news: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Mi4, Mi5 and Mi max will get new OS in 2017
The new Google operating system Android 7.0 Nougat is making headlines these days following the announcement from the company that the software will come out anytime soon. Smartphone manufacturers have already mentioned some of their devices that will get the update once the highly anticipated OS hits the market. According to the latest reports, Xiaomi has already announced some of their popular handsets to get the update in 2017.
These are the Redmi Note 3, Mi4, Mi5 and Mi max. According to a report by Neurogadget, the Chinese tech manufacturer has already rolled out the Android Marshmallow OS to several of its handsets and now some more are going to get the updates.
Although the announcement from the company is way too far from the previous rumors, which suggested that ten of their devices are going to get the Android N updates. It was reported earlier that Redmi 2 Prime, Mi 4i, The Mi 4s, Mi c, Redmi 2 Prime, and the Note Pro. The announcement may have disappointed many Xiaomi users, whose handsets are not included in the list to get updates. There are reports suggesting that the arrival of the new Android Nougat will also introduce new features to the device.
As of now, Google has yet to provide concrete details with regard to the roll out date of the new operating system. Nonetheless, it is expected to come first on Nexus devices, the 5X and 6P before other makers will get it. There are also rumors circulating that Google will debut the full version of the operating system on a new Nexus 2016, which will be manufactured by HTC.
Meanwhile, Tech Radar reported that Google has already announced during the company's IO 2016 event that users can update to the Developer Preview 5 of the Android 7.0 Nougat, which is said to improve performance and fixes bugs and other issues.
