Android N release date news update: OS to feature multiwindow support and notification enhancements, expected to debut on Nexus 2016?
After Google announced its upcoming operating system, the Android N or Android Nougat, many fans are eager to know more about the software and what it brings to the table. The team that developed the highly anticipated OS recently revealed some of the features people can expect once the full version hits the market.
According to Android's official website, users can expect new features such as the multi-window support and notification enhancements.
In multi-window support, users will have the ability to work even faster during multi-tasking scenarios.
According to the website, "on phones and tablets running Android N, users can run two apps side-by-side or one-above-the-other in split screen mode. Users can resize the apps by dragging the divider between them."
The site added that "on Android TV devices, apps can put themselves in picture-in-picture mode, allowing them to continue showing content while the user browses or interacts with other apps."
Certainly, Google is trying to raise the competition even higher with its latest Android Nougat operating system and now it is up to other OS developers to answer with their own revolutionary software.
Other features of the device include Updating the templates, MessageStyle class, Bundled notifications, Reply Directly and Custom Views.
Meanwhile, Android N or Android Nougat is expected to land on several devices before the year ends. There are already reports suggesting that multiple handsets from Samsung as well as from HTC will get the update in a few months.
What's interesting is that Google is also planning to release two new smartphones this year with pre-installed Android Nougat. There are speculations saying that the American search giant has recently partnered with HTC to help them manufacture the device.
However, Google and the Taiwanese tech giant have yet to provide any statement with regard to the rumor. As of the moment, fans will have to stay tuned for more update about Android Nougat and the device it will debut on.
