Apple iPhone 7 may come without home button as leaked photos suggest

Since the inception of the first iPhone, Apple has remained conveniently consistent with how the phone generally looks.

People have come to be very familiar with the physical features of the iPhone, with the back part with a camera on the top-left corner, while the Apple logo is set near the center of the mobile.

The charging port can be found underneath, while the 3.5mm headphone jack is either on the top, as with the earlier models, or at the bottom of the phone as for the case of the iPhone 5 and 6 models.

And as for the front, the screen is always the main display as it takes the most part of the screen, while the front camera is found beside the earpiece on top.

Right below is the home button which is a physical clicker that does various things. For the most part, it sends the screen back to the main with a touch of a button, while clicking it twice will show the most recently opened apps.

However, recent rumors have it that the proposed iPhone 7 may be without a home button for the first time, seemingly making way for a touch-sensitive home button.

As reported by MobiPicker, there have been leaked photos of the new phone with a home button that appears to be the same level as the rest of the phone, and there does not seem to be any perforations that would suggest it is a button.

Many people have already been surprised with the concept that the 3.5mm headphone jack will not be present in the iPhone 7, as reported by Forbes. However, the addition of this news looks like it answers the question on how things will be different for the iPhone 7 as compared to its predecessors.

As for its release, MacWorld in its recent update stated that there is still no official release date for the highly anticipated phone.
