Apple iPhone 7 release date news: Next-gen flagship smartphone to arrive on Sept. 23?
The upcoming Apple iPhone 7 has been one of the favorite topics all over the internet for quite some time now. With its nearby release, rumors and speculations are expected to spike even more. The next-gen iPhone will reportedly be released on Sept. 23.
The rumored Sept. 23 launch date came out following leaked information showing the retail schedule of AT&T. According to a report from 9to5Mac, there are two dates mentioned for merchandising resets — Sept. 9 and Sept. 23. Tech experts are saying that Sept. 9 could be the preorder schedule for the iPhone 7, while Sept. 23 is the actual release date of the handset.
The new report clearly contradicts previous rumors, which say that the highly anticipated handset will be rolled out on Sept 16. This rumor started when popular tech leaker Evan Blass tweeted that the new model of the popular line would finally arrive during the "week of September 12th."
He followed it with a post saying, "Just to clarify, this refers to the retail release, not the launch event. To be even more specific, it should happen on Friday, Sept. 16th."
Meanwhile, Japanese website Mac Otokara reported that Apple will release two iPhones in September, the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The site claimed that this information comes from a reliable source. It also reported that the new iPhone 7 will no longer carry the 3.5mm headphone jack.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple will hold a special event on Sept. 7 to launch the new iPhone. There are also speculations suggesting that several Apple products, including the Apple Watch 2 and MacBook Pro 2016, will also be unveiled next month. However, it has yet to be confirmed if all devices will be launched on Sept. 7.
For the meantime, Apple fans should wait for the company to provide solid details about its future releases before making any assumptions.
