Apple iPhone 7 release date, specs rumors: New leaked details reveal new features?
With its upcoming release just around the corner, rumors and speculations about the next generation iPhone smartphone from Apple are getting stronger. According to reports, one of the biggest leaks about iPhone 7 has recently emerged on the internet giving consumers a good idea of what to expect once the handset hits the market.
The new leak may have just confirmed that Apple has doubled the storage capacity of the new iPhone. If rumors prove to be true, the new entry level for an iPhone device will start at 32 GB storage. The next variant will have 128 GB, while the top-tier model will carry a whopping 256 GB of storage capacity.
According to a report by BGR, a brand new photo of the upcoming iPhone 7 has surfaced on the Internet showing what appears to be the back of the device's retail box. The photo was discovered by a Chinese website called cnBeta. Although there are speculations that the photo, which came from China, could most likely be fake, some tech observers believe that there is some weight to this new rumor as the device is expected to be launch in the coming days.
The new iPhone is expected to be launch in two models – the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, which is expected to sport high-end features.
Meanwhile, in a report by Forbes, the new iPhone 7 will also have a new headphone technology called "EarPods with Lightning Connector." It appears that Apple has already decided to eliminate the traditional 3.5mm headphone port.
However, the new leaked also suggested that the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come with a Lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter. This new accessory will allow users to continue using their existing 3.5 mm headphone to their new iPhone device.
Apple is expected to launch the next gen iPhone at the upcoming company event on Sept. 7.
