There are also speculations saying that it may have an earlier release date on June 29, which is the same date when the first iPhone smartphone was rolled out more than 9 years ago.

According to a report by Barrons, next year's iPhone 8 may help several companies to recover from slumping stocks. Major Mobile-chip makers like Skyworks, Qorvo, and Qualcomm could use the release of the new device next year as an opportunity to rebound from a poor performance in stocks.

Meanwhile, according to Nikkei Asian Review, the 2017 iPhone will feature the popular OLED technology, which means that iPhone 8 will have improved power consumption.

"There will be a 4.7-inch model, another that will be 5.5-inches and a premium handset that will be either 5.5-inches or larger equipped with a screen bent on the two sides," as stated in the Nikkei Asian Review.
