The upcoming DC debut film for Jason Momoa's Aquaman will be including several members of the titular character's family tree. Meanwhile, the heir of the underwater kingdom will be the one to bridge the Justice League to the Motherbox.

Aquaman's origin film will reach theaters in 2018. Aside from "Game of Thrones" alum Momoa playing as Arthur Curry, a lot of his family members will be featured in "Aquaman" as well.

Other than previously announced Amber Heard taking on the role of Mera and "Watchmen" star Patrick Wilson portraying Curry's jealous half-brother Orm, Digital Spy reports that Aquaman's other family members will be included in the cast.

This includes Nicole Kidman who is in negotiations to play as Curry's mother, Atlanna, and Temuera Morrison to portray his human father, Thomas.

"Aquaman" was previously reported to feature multiple villains, and aside from his jealous half-brother, Black Manta, who will be played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, will be the other big bad of the film.

Based on the comics, Black Manta is known to be a human villain with advanced technology that will murder Arthur Curry's younger son, but there is still no confirmation whether the film will feature this part of Aquaman's origin story.

Arthur Curry's origin story begins when he was born to a lighthouse keeper and the queen of Atlantis. He will grow up learning that he can breathe underwater and has super strength. He will also discover that he is able to communicate with creatures living in the sea.

Meanwhile, Daily Disruption reported that Aquaman has a significant role in the upcoming "Justice League" film that is set to debut this year.

The element known as the Motherbox, which is what the villain Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) will be after, is said to be in possession of the Atlanteans. This might be one of the reasons why Batman (Ben Affleck) will be pursuing Aquaman to join the Justice League.

"Aquaman" is slated to premiere on Oct. 5, 2018.
