'Arrow' Season 3 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Is Oliver Queen Really Dead?
We were all left with a shocking twist during the midseason finale of "Arrow" Season 3 with the apparent death of Oliver Queen. On Episode 9, titled "The Climb," Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) stabbed Oliver (Stephen Amell) on the chest and then kicked him off a cliff. As Arrow was falling down the cliff, memories of Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland) and Arrow's parents came to him in a flash.
But Arrow can't be dead, can he? The show made it look that way, and rumor has it that the story is about to take a new direction. In fact, Stephen Amell, the lead actor, seems to have confirmed Arrow's death on Twitter.
Mark Guggenheim, executive producer for "Arrow," also hinted that the next episodes will be focusing on another character—Roy Harper (Colton Hayne) and his "Arsenal" alter ego.
He said, "One of the things I was very straight with Colton [Haynes] about is I don't think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the first half of [season 3]. I'll say the stuff that he's got in Episodes 10, 11, and 12, it's pretty dang gangbusters. There's one scene in Episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show."
Although it seems like Arrow has lived his last day during the midseason finale, there is still no official word from the production team. We'll find out whether Oliver will still return on "Arrow" Season 3 when the show returns on Jan. 21, 2015 on The CW.
