'Arrow' season 5 episode 13 spoilers: Tensions run high in the Arrow headquarters; David Ramsey hints more original Team Arrow scenes
Wild Dog's history is revealed on the upcoming episode of The CW's superhero drama "Arrow" season 5.
Titled "Spectre of the Gun," next week's episode will see a conflict arise among Team Arrow members. According to the official synopsis, a shocking attack on City Hall triggers painful and traumatic memories for Rene (Rick Gonzalez) about his loved ones. Flashbacks reveal how Rene began his journey as a simple family man before turning into a hero named Wild Dog.
Elsewhere in the episode, Oliver (Stephen Amell)is determined to find the perpetrator behind the recent attack. He later realizes that the best way to go after him is to stay as Mayor Queen instead of becoming the Green Arrow. Also, tensions run high in the Team Arrow bunker.
Wednesday's hour saw Oliver return to Russia and meet with his old friend from the Bratva. Diggle (David Ramsey) was released from jail before any permanent damage could be done to him, but he didn't get out unscathed. Thanks to Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) hacker friend, the team's favorite bodyguard has been cleared of all charges from his CO.
Since Diggle was incarcerated, fans have been wanting to see the original Team Arrow come together again. With Diggle now a free man, Ramsey revealed that more scenes with Oliver's original crew are coming later this season. "The original team is the backbone of this show and the writers are definitely getting back to it," he told Mashable.
Diggle had a special bond with Rene before he got locked up, and Ramsey confirmed that there will be more interactions between his character and Wild Dog. However, he'll be more focused on helping another newcomer: Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).
"Dinah is the newest outsider joining, so you'll see Diggle welcoming her as he did with Rene, but he's not just training her to be a part of the team," the actor added. "He's also going to help her with being a meta and what that does to her psyche. He's there for her to help her make an adjustment to try and live a normal life," he went on to say.
The fifth season of "Arrow" airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
