'Ash vs Evil Dead' season 2 episode 10 spoilers: Season finale brings Baal back with blonde Ruby in tow
Now that Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his gang are back in the '80s to try and set things straight — and hopefully get Pablo (Ray Santiago) back in one piece — what kind of new and old horrors will they end up unearthing in the upcoming finale of "Ash vs Evil Dead" season 2?
Titled "Second Coming," the tenth episode is all set to cap off the current season and set the stage to a more exciting third season up ahead as the cavalry put all their efforts into the fight for a future with Pablo in it, and all the evils of the Necronomicon never existed in their realm. However, it looks like they may have to put their lives on the line to have a fighting chance against the combined evils of Baal (Joel Tobeck) and a blond-haired Ruby (Lucy Lawless).
The episode preview shows Ash making a bet with Baal in 1982. If Ash manages to defeat Baal, he, his spawns, and the deadites will accept banishment to hell. However, if Ash gets defeated, then Baal is free to do whatever he likes, wherever he likes to them. The stakes are high and Ash is fully aware that the entire world's fate depends on his victory.
The preview also features Ruby from 1982, whom Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) and the present Ruby will be facing up against. Professor Knowby (Nicholas Hope) poses an additional threat when he lights out with the Necronomicon after locking Ash and Wisconsin student Tanya (Sara West) in the basement with the deadite form of Mrs. Knowby (Ted Raimi). Later in the episode, Ash will cross paths with his evil hand and his possessed sister Cheryl (Ellen Sandweiss).
All of this messed up series of events seems to beg the question: has Ash really pulled a fast one on Baal, or has Baal been the one playing with his mind all this time? And if they have really travelled back in time, will they succeed in their goal of bringing Pablo back, and what consequences will this entail?
"Ash vs Evil Dead" season 2 finale will air on Sunday, Dec. 11, at 8 p.m. EST on Starz.
