Assassin's Creed 5: Unity Release Date Delayed, Will Have More Time To Be Polished
The supposed October 2014 release date for Assassin's Creed: Unity has unfortunately been delayed for a little longer.
Instead of October, the release date for the fifth Assassin's Creed game was pushed to a later date of November 11, 2014. According to the publisher, Ubisoft needs a little more time to polish off the much-anticipated game. The change it date pushes the title nearer to another Assassin's Creed game, the Assassin's Creed Rouge.
Regardless of the short delay, we know that Ubisoft rarely disappoints, and judging from what we've seen so far in the gameplay videos that have been released, fans of the game are in for a fantastic game.
In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Alex Amancio, creative director of Assassin's Creed: Unity, explained how deep the customization is in the game's coop features.
The game will feature more than 200 types of equipment for the players, and each piece of equipment will affect the character, depending on the player's playing preference, (stealth, long range, short range or plain battling head on).
While things are starting to look good for Assassin's Creed: Unity, there's one controversial feature that they are introducing and this is the presence of "micro-transactions". Still, Amancio pointed out that there is no real NEED to purchase anything if you just want to breeze through the game like you're used to.
These microtransactions' sole purpose is to speed up the process of developing your characters, mainly for multiplayer gaming. This is probably a good commercial move for Ubisoft as there is likely to be a lot of extra revenue from this effective free-to-play progression model.
