The much-anticipated "Assassin's Creed" movie is just a few weeks away from its big screen premiere, and a new poster has been recently unveiled.

20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures have released a new poster for the upcoming movie, and it looks like Michael Fassbender's Aguilar will have more than just hidden blades as he fights against the Templar Order. In the poster, Aguilar is surrounded by the other assassins and what appears to be their weapon of choice. Each of them is seen with guns, crossbows and even daggers. Eagle-eyed fans will also notice Aguilar's signature mid-leap of faith with the words "Your Destiny Is In Your Blood" written across it.

According to IGN, director Justin Kurzel confirmed that the past scenes in "Assassin's Creed" will use Spanish dialogue. However, it is important to note that only around a third of the feature film will take place in the past. Instead, most of the story will center on the present day following the life of Callum Lynch inside Abstergo. Along with Fassbender, the film also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson and Michael K. Williams.

In a recent interview with ABC's "Lateline" host Jason Om, lead actor/producer Fassbender admitted that making a film adaptation of a famed video game franchise is very challenging considering the high expectations from the game's avid fans.

"I think there's something like 90 million players out there. Gamers are a very passionate audience," he said. "So we wanted to respect a lot of things that are in the Assassin's Creed universe, like obviously the Animus, this idea of DNA memory, the artefact, the Apple of Eden, but then we wanted to introduce new things as well."

Distributed by 20th Century Fox, "Assassin's Creed" officially hits the big screen on Dec. 21.
