Hajime Isayama's widely acclaimed manga and anime "Attack on Titan" might soon have a Hollywood rendition.

Aside from the big plans for the popular "Attack on Titan" franchise for 2017, including the launch of the second season of anime and a full spinoff TV series, new reports claim that there are plans to give the franchise a Western spin.

Deadline reported that Warner Bros. is in talks with the Japanese producers of the hit dark fantasy post-apocalyptic series to get the exclusive rights for the title. According to the report, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" producer, David Heyman, will handle the project if the negotiation works out.

The "Attack on Titan" franchise centers on the story of humanity's fight for survival against the flesh-eating humanoid called the Titans. For generations, humans are living within a wall for protection. But some of them wanted to get rid of the dangerous Titans completely, which is why they decided to form a group to fight against the gigantic humanoids.

The series follows the adventures of Eren Yeager, one of the members of the military group that was formed to eradicate the vicious giants. Eren's quests were driven by revenge after his mother was eaten by one of the beasts. His adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman, and their childhood friend, Armin Arlert, are also around to help him in his plots to kill all the Titans on Earth.

Warner Bros. reportedly plans to make a Hollywood remake of the two-part Japanese live-action film adaptation of the "Attack on Titan" franchise that was released in 2015.

Meanwhile, the wait for the second season of the "Attack on Titan" might soon be over, after Bessatsu Shonen Magazine reported in its latest issue that it will premiere in April 2017. The first season broadcasted its last episode in September 2013.
