'Attack on Titan' season 2 air date after 'Kabaneri of the Iron Forests'?

Fervent followers of the anime series "Attack on Titan" will be eager to find out that filming of the next installment has already commenced and that its release is set at the conclusion of "Kabaneri of the Iron Forests."

Even before filming started, though, reports already came out that some major characters may see their end in the sophomore run of the popular series while new ones may also be featured in the premiere of "Attack on Titan" season 2.

Armin is one of the main characters in the anime who will be killed in the next run, according to some reports. However, conflicting accounts have now emerged, with one side claiming that Armin will in fact die in season 2. He will be purportedly killed by an unnamed, unknown creature who will crawl its way to him, the one which was seen in the final episode of the show's season 1. Other reports have it that the creature, on the other hand, will save Armin from his impending death.

Whatever it is, fans will have to deal with the eventuality when the next season of "Attack on Titan" airs.

The new season will also feature the new Titans, including Beast Titan, making their way into the new storyline, said to follow a fresher direction with the upcoming season debut. The appearance of Beast Titan will mark the beginning of a new breed of such creatures. New adventures are also teased for the Survey Corps as the titans from the Reiss clan will have a confrontation with the elite corps. It is also expected that the Reiss titans will try to regain the throne they lost.

After Annie's titan identity was found out in the previous run, the upcoming story will go more deeply into her roots, resulting in more revelations of other titan identities. Rumor has it that Reiner will turn out to be an Armored Titan, and Bertholdt, a Colossal Titan. Ymir's pending transformation is said to likewise be revealed next season.

The release of "Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to come in February 2017.
