'Attack on Titan' Season 2 release date, plot spoilers: Royal family overthrown; 'Intelligent' Beast Titan set to appear?

The upcoming second season of "Attack on Titan" is expected to feature a unique but ruthless titan that is going to antagonize the humans. Moreover, there will also be a huge uprising expected in the new story arc, and possibly will succeed in overthrowing the current royal family.

There are many events rumored to take place in "Attack on Titan" Season 2, and one of those is the anticipated uprising of the citizens against the corrupted royal family. The king of the monarch will have to face the angry rebels led by Captain Erwin Smith, and stopping the people's attempt to oust them is not going to be easy. Interestingly, Yibada reported that the present king is actually not the ruler, but is just one of the puppets being used by a mysterious clan, who are the true royalties.

Moreover, the online publication reported that the real royal family may be the Reiss family. The family is said to be hiding behind the puppet rulers in order to keep their plans as secret. Krista is also expected to be unmasked as a member of the Reiss family, having her real birth name as Historia Reiss. Krista is rumored to have the ability to shape-shift into a titan, along with the other Reiss clan members. 

The first season of the hit anime series introduced many popular titans such as the Colossal Titan. In the second season, the fans will be introduced to a special type of titan called the Beast Titan or Ape Titan. He is quite larger compared to other regular titans, but the trait that makes him fearsome is his intelligence. Those who are familiar with the original manga series of "Attack on Titan" will know that the Beast Titan is as smart and clever as humans, even having the ability to talk. Later on, the Beast Titan will be revealed as a shape-shifter. His human counterpart is named Zeke, and he may have the answers to the mysteries of titans.

It was reported earlier by Enstarz that the second season of "Attack on Titan" will premiere in Spring 2017. The production of Season 2 has encountered several problems, and it took several months before the production stage of the series commenced.
