'Avatar 2' spoilers, plot news: Quaritch will be in all sequels, will be 'important' in everything

Although Quaritch appears to have met his demise, "Avatar 2" will see him come back to life and he will be so tough to get rid of that he will be in the rest of the sequels.

Stephen Lang, who plays the villainous character, will be back to reprise the role. In fact, the evil colonel will actually be quite a big deal in the upcoming films.

"Well, I can say because it's a matter of public record, that the character of Col. Quaritch is important in each of the films—Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5," Lang revealed during an interview with Mashable.

The actor, who comic book fans also want to star as Cable in "Deadpool 2," revealed that the character will live through all the movies.

This could be reportedly why his chances of being in the said comic book film might not happen. It is of note that the films are both under the same studio, which is 20^{th Century FOX.}

"It's the same studio as Avatar, but I don't know if that makes it easier or more difficult logistically," Lang said. In the past, he believed that it would be the latter.

"Either way, no one has approached me, and I can't even say if I'm in the actual conversation. But they must be aware of it, because whoever makes those decisions must be aware of everything," he continued.

Lang has revealed a few days back that the filming for "Avatar 2" will begin next year and that he has been reading the script of all four films.

He noted that the production design team is already hard at work prior to the film, implying that there has already been so much work done even before the actual filming begins.

With regards to the plot, Lang is being coy, but as he said, Pandora will be dealing with serious trouble with Quaritch sticking around.

"Avatar 2" is set for release in December 2018.
