As fans continue to gear up for the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie, which has a release date set for May 1, 2015, the film has been described as the grandest yet in the Marvel universe.

Paul Bettany, who plays the villainous character Vision, told Radio Times in a recent interview that the movie is "the biggest thing Marvel have ever done."

"It was enormous. I remember we were at Comic-Con and they showed a portion of the footage, and I was just gobsmacked," he said. "And I looked down the row and every one of the Avengers was the same, including Samuel Jackson. And his whole modus operandi is 'I've seen everything before, I'm the most chilled out, relaxed man and I've seen everything,' and he was as knocked out as anyone. It's huge."

This will be the first time that Vision makes an appearance in the Marvel cinematic universe.

One factor that adds to the movie's "shock" level, according to Bettany, is that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" contains the most amount of visual effects shots when compared to other Marvel films.

While Bettany is no stranger to Marvel films, having appeared in three "Iron Man" movies as the voice of Tony Stark's robotic assistant Jarvis, he appeared to be impressed by the set of "Avengers: Age of Ultron." He described it as the largest ever he worked on and that it looked like an entire portion of a town "with helicopter cameras and drone cameras flying about" which, he added, made him "feel like a kid on a film set again."

As for Bettany's character Vision, nothing much has been revealed, but a recent release of action figures for the movie from Funko toys has hinted that the character will sport a purple face instead of a red version that he had in the comic books.

Previously Director Joss Whedon, in an interview, confirmed that Vision will make an appearance and it will be created by Ultron, the super villain in the movie.

Another character who has been generating a lot of buzz since the movie's second trailer was released is the mystery woman who was seen in a cave. Recently several online sources said she could be a highly trained martial arts specialist called Mantis who has the ability to use telepathy for communication.
