"Avengers: Infinity War" is already going to feature a lot of characters, but it seems they are still looking to add a few more. And if everything goes well, "Game of Thrones" fans may see a familiar face when the film premieres next year.

Variety has reported that Peter Dinklage is currently in early talks to star in "Avengers: Infinity War." The actor is famous for playing Tyrion Lannister in "Game of Thrones," and he has also starred in "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

Apparently, he's going to be playing a key role in the film. So, who could that be? IGN has some suggestions, and a couple of them stood out.

Is Dinklage going to be portraying Pip the Troll? This is the obvious choice. Pip may not be a popular character, but he does play a vital role in several battles against Thanos in the comic books. Dinklage already has a lot of experience playing characters who like to make sarcastic quips (see Tyrion), so this one should be easy for him. Height-wise, Dinklage is also perfect for the role. All he has to do is keep a cigar in his mouth and scratch his hairy feet from time to time.

How about MODOK? Well, this character will be a little difficult to bring onscreen because his head is about the same size as the rest of his body. But this one would be interesting as well. IGN also mentioned that Dinklage could play Thanos' brother Eros/Starfox, Uatu the Watcher, or Mephisto.

Meanwhile, Page Six has reported that Broadway actor Aaron Lazar is standing in for Benedict Cumberbatch while they are filming "Avengers: Infinity War" in Georgia. The publication says Cumberbatch is currently busy with another project, so he will have to reshoot scenes where Lazar's face is seen.

"They are not digitally superimposing Cumberbatch onto another actor's performance," a Disney source told Page Six.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled to premiere on May 4, 2018.
