'Avengers Infinity War' spoilers, plot news: New character and new beginning for MCU teased, entire Guardians crew joining?
"Avengers: Infinity War" will set the stage for a new Marvel Cinematic Universe, according to directors Joe and Anthony Russo. The new beginning for MCU will involve the introduction of a new character.
When the duo spoke to IGN as to the identity of this newcomer, the two played it coy. "I can't get into too much detail about who we're introducing, but these two movies are intended to be the culmination of everything that has happened in the MCU since the very first Iron Man movie," Anthony said.
"In being a culmination, these movies are in some ways going to be an end to certain things, and in some ways, they're going to be the beginning of certain things," he continued.
Also apart from a new character or two making an entrance in "Avengers Infinity War," Cleveland.com says that fans can't discount the possibility that someone will die as well.
The site pointed out how many expected Captain America (Chris Evans) to bite the dust in the "Civil War" film as this was his fate in the comics.
Although he made it out alive, the site says that he is not safe yet especially with the most fearsome evil in the world being dealt with in "Avengers: Infinity War."
Joe said that Thanos (Josh Brolin) could not have come at a worst time in "Avengers Infinity War." With the Avengers at loggerheads following the events of "Captain America: Civil War," the heroes are very vulnerable.
However, the Avengers won't be alone in this fight as more superheroes will help them out. The gang from "Guardians of the Galaxy" are joining the fray, with Groot actor Vin Diesel breaking the news.
It was initially speculated that only a couple of the Guardians (some said it will only be Chris Pratt's Star-Lord) will be in "Avengers Infinity War." As it turns out, Groot will be in on the fun and mayhem and possibly the whole crew.
"Avengers Infinity War" will be in cinemas 2018.
